In addition to hands-on educational experiences for Black and minority business owners, The Plan Room will serve as a hub for new business opportunities, focusing on increasing Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation in area projects. The Plan Room will serve as a destination for developers and project owners to connect and invest in a diverse pool of contractors. The Plan Room will offer access to computers, printers, construction software technology, and work space for participating businesses to support administrative and quality improvements.
A business accelerator, The Plan Room is designed for existing business owners who need help in one or more areas to achieve a greater level of success. By filling in knowledge gaps and providing new avenues to opportunities, we hope to help build wealth and encourage more people to pursue careers in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
